How to create an account with 1build

  1. Email sales@1build.com or contact your Account Executive to choose a 1build subscription package.

  2. Once payment has been received, you will receive an email with a link to sign in and create a password. Your email will be your username. You also have the option to sign in using Google.


How to start a Rapid Estimate

  1. Start in your 1build dashboard and click New Project.

  2. Choose Do It Myself.

  3. Add your project title and location at the top of your estimate.

  4. Go to the top left and choose the state and county for the cost data library.

  5. Begin adding your own line items, or choose an item or assembly from the 1build library.

  6. Enter quantities for each item and watch the total cost change in the top right corner.


How to upload your plans for a takeoff

  1. Start in your Do It Myself project.

  2. Click the Takeoff tab at the top of the screen.

  3. Choose Upload Files.

  4. Plans will load and appear, ready for measuring and marking.

  5. Takeoffs are linked to the estimate in the same project.

  6. You can group and rename your takeoffs to keep track of your drawings.


How to brand your proposal

  1. Start in your 1build dashboard or from your rapid estimate view.

  2. Click the circle with your initials in the top right corner.

  3. Choose Personal Details.

  4. Fill out your contact information.

  5. Add your logo (.png and .jpg files work best).

  6. Click submit.


How to export and share proposals

Export to PDF

  1. Start in your 1build dashboard or from your rapid estimate view.

  2. Click the Export button in the top right of the screen.

  3. Choose Summary or Detailed.

  4. Click Download PDF.

Export to Excel

  1. Start in your 1build dashboard or from your rapid estimate view.

  2. Click the Export button in the top right of the screen.

  3. Choose Summary or Detailed.

  4. Click Download PDF.

Share with a public link

  1. Start in your 1build dashboard or from your rapid estimate view.

  2. Click the Export button in the top right of the screen.

  3. Choose Summary or Detailed.

  4. Click Copy under Share URL

  5. Paste link in email, text message, or any other messaging platform to share.


How to send a project to the Estimator Network

  1. Start in your 1build dashboard and click New Project.

  2. Choose “Hire an Estimator.”

  3. Complete your project details.

  4. Choose the trades included in your project.

  5. Choose a wage type for any labor.

  6. Upload your architectural plans or project drawings

  7. Click the submit button

  8. A team member from our Estimator Network will connect you with a North American-based estimator.

  9. You will work with that estimator to determine schedule and cost for your estimate, depending on the size and scope of your project.
